Israel - Gaza War
Plaid Cymru reiterates our calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages and the immediate end to arms sales from the UK to Israel.
We have recently signed the following related parliamentary motions:
- Calling on the UK Government to immediately recognise the state of Palestine in accordance with the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion of 2024. EDM71
- Calling on the UK Government to cease the export of UK arms to Israel. EDM58
- Calling on the UK Government to fully uphold the independence of the International Court of Justice and International Criminal Court and respect the outcome of their investigations. EDM33
Following the devastating news of a polio outbreak in Gaza, Plaid Cymru’s Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Ben Lake MP, questioned the Foreign Secretary over the Government’s progress in assisting the UN vaccination programme.

Plaid Cymru will continue to press the UK Government to do all they can to end this conflict and play its part in establishing a two-state solution.
