Safeguard The Cambrian Coast Line

Sign the Petition!

We call on Transport for Wales (TFW) and Welsh Government to safeguard services on the Cambrian Coast Line, which serves as a vital transport link for both local residents and the Gwynedd visitor economy.

Communities served by the Cambrian Coast line depend on the service for education, employment, tourism, shopping, and health reasons. The service is particularly invaluable to the elderly and to those without a car.

Instead of cutting further services, Transport for Wales and Welsh government should be actively investing in local transport links across north west Wales, ensuring local people and visitors are afforded robust, reliable, and accessible train services.

It is disgraceful to reduce train services in North West Wales when so much taxpayer’s money is spent dramatically improving infrastructure and services in the south.

All very well crowing about the new developments in South Wales, but TfW is Transport for Wales, not Transport for South Wales. The service cuts will simply put more cars on the road.

We both find the train service very useful especially at this time of year. We would really miss it.

Vital service to and from BHX airport not forgetting nattionwide students commuting to Aberystwyth.

Machynlleth to Pwllheli is important for students studying at Barmouth and Tywyn.

Not forgetting tourism and all the local jobs especially at Machynlleth.

I would prefer to hear that the Welsh government are investing in the Cambrian line reopening some stations, I.e Carno and reopening of the line from Aberystwyth to Carmarthen.

    Regards Paul Hughes.
