Safeguard The Cambrian Coast Line

Sign the Petition!

We call on Transport for Wales (TFW) and Welsh Government to safeguard services on the Cambrian Coast Line, which serves as a vital transport link for both local residents and the Gwynedd visitor economy.

Communities served by the Cambrian Coast line depend on the service for education, employment, tourism, shopping, and health reasons. The service is particularly invaluable to the elderly and to those without a car.

Instead of cutting further services, Transport for Wales and Welsh government should be actively investing in local transport links across north west Wales, ensuring local people and visitors are afforded robust, reliable, and accessible train services.

The services are already sparse, removing trains is very bad!

The services are vital to me to get to and from work.

The recent cuts to early and late trains mean I now have to drive and can’t use the train. This line is a vital lifeline to local residents and to the Talyllyn Railway in allowing volunteers to travel to the railway for a weekend to volunteer and keep the railway running.

Extra evening trains from Cardiff & Swansea at the same time that the Cambrian Coast has both it’s ‘late’ evening trains cut. 2 tier rail services in Wales; improvements to services in South Wales, cuts in Mid & North Wales. (Angry face)

The train timetable is so sparse, and can be cancelled at extremely short notice, we need a better service NOT an even more reduced service
