Safeguard The Cambrian Coast Line

Sign the Petition!

We call on Transport for Wales (TFW) and Welsh Government to safeguard services on the Cambrian Coast Line, which serves as a vital transport link for both local residents and the Gwynedd visitor economy.

Communities served by the Cambrian Coast line depend on the service for education, employment, tourism, shopping, and health reasons. The service is particularly invaluable to the elderly and to those without a car.

Instead of cutting further services, Transport for Wales and Welsh government should be actively investing in local transport links across north west Wales, ensuring local people and visitors are afforded robust, reliable, and accessible train services.

I have used this train all my adult life (71 now) to reach my family in Ceredigion for family visits, to link parts of coastal and hill walking (all for my physical and mental health), to meet up with friends in a central Welsh location at Machynlleth, to reach meetings and conferences over the years at Machynlleth and Aberystwyth. It would be a great loss to Wales!
