We call on the Post Office to safeguard face-to-face, over-the-counter services in Caernarfon.

At a time when the Post Office should be working to restore trust and public confidence in its services, the proposal to close the Caernarfon branch rides roughshod over the needs of customers.

We urge the Post Office to re-think any plans to close this important local branch.

This is the only local royal mail place now available, all other sites have been closed, this is an essential service in the area. Not only that but the site itself has historical value to Caernarfon.

This is a great facility that is needed in our town to accommodate all those who might not be comfortable with computers or have very poor internet access need assistance with post and want direct customer service, and advice.

We need this to stay open.

From a business perspective this would be catastrophic. Almost every single day I am either posting my business products to customers nation & world wide and / or receiving deliveries from numerous suppliers. The Post Office is the ONLY place I can any longer pay in cash payments from my customers. If the PO close then I will have to stop taking cash altogether as there will be nowhere I can pay in. It’s hard to believe that a post office that is busy every time I visit, is being considered for closure, in the capital town of Gwynedd, and the heartland of Gwynedd government.
