Cancer is the biggest killer in Gwynedd, attributed to 28% of deaths in Gwynedd in 2018. In some areas, such as Dolgellau, it's hgher, 41%.
Early diagnosis is crucial to ensure a positive outcome.
The Welsh Government have piloted Rapid Diagnostic Centres in two Health Boards in south Wales, and they have proven to be successful, with meant time until diagnosis reduced from 84 days to 6 days.

Plaid Cymru have called on the Welsh Government to invest more in cancer diagnostics in north Wales by establishing a rapid diagnostic regional hub in Gwynedd, following the release of mortality rates across the UK.
Their calls have been backed by Becky Williams, widow of Irfon Williams who led the Hawl i Fyw campaign.
Newly-released mortality figures reveal that cancerhttp://www.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/903/news/49660 is the single biggest cause of death in north Wales, with 2,291 of the 8,156 recorded deaths attributable to cancer.
