Housing

House prices have dramatically increased and all the affordable housing are being bought within a few days of being put on the market to second home owners. So us locals have no chance of raising our families here and continuing the welsh language. Rent prices in my area are quite high and it’s a struggle to find properties to rent even though there are many holiday homes in the area

Absolutely Spot on.

This is one of the biggest issues for the coming election. We need answers to a problem that has been festering for decades.
Here's a piece I wrote last September on the subject:

I have provided some ideas, which have been taken up by organisations, but we need the government to legislate - to control house prices and control rent prices.

It’s a shame when a town’s next generation can’t afford the same areas the parents were able to at their ages.
due of course to councils strangling development and second home buyers driving up prices.
